Silicon Carbide Plastic

Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories’ high workability, extremely versatile plastic mass is available in the 60%-80% SiC range.

These products can be used directly from the package and applied by hand, with no mixing or equipment needed. They are ideal for quick patch repairs.

Refrax® ProPlast is soft enough to be pushed onto pins or caps on the tube wall or pressed into hex-mesh.
